Intentional MVMT Hike Recap - April 2019

When are you your most authentic self? How do you show up? How do you show up when you are at your worst? How do you show up for others when they are at their worst?

At our most recent hike in April, community members and leaders unplugged from the grind and took a walk with nature. Community change agent Jamal Tate kicked off introductions and facilitated our conversations.

Our group talks quickly turned to how you bring out the best in ourselves and others even through great challenges. Jon Davis from Intentional MVMT brought up a TED talk by Bryan Stevenson on injustices – you can watch it here. Jon challenged us to think of Stevenson’s message:

“Each of us is more than the worst thing we’ve ever done.”

What if we only stood for the potential in each other on our BEST day rather than our WORST day?

Here’s to lifting each other up and walking side by side for change.

It was a beautiful afternoon that only amplified the inspiring conversations. We’d love for you to join us next time.

Our next one is Thursday, May 16—once again at Reedy Creek Park—from 4:30 - 6:00PM (we switched up the time a little bit). Click here to register. Feel free to bring a friend or colleague.
